Dr. Rachel Micek grew up in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada where she completed her undergraduate degree in Biology/Psychology at the University of Victoria. Rachel then attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine with her clinical year at Auburn University in Alabama. Following graduation, she completed a competitive 1-year rotating equine internship at Chaparral Equine Veterinary Medical Center in Cave Creek, AZ. Since completing her internship, she worked as one of two mixed large animal practitioners with a focus on equine medicine in Clarkston, WA. Dr. Micek’s love of equine veterinary medicine and the Pacific Northwest brought her to EEVP in January of 2023. Outside of work, Dr. Micek enjoys spending time with her horse Caspian and exploring the outdoors with her dogs Abby and Rooster.
