Originally from Singapore, Dr Melissa Sim completed her veterinary medical degree at Purdue College of Veterinary Medicine, and her Bachelors in Animal Science with an equine specialty from the University of California Davis. She also holds additional certifications in Acupuncture (Curacore), Chiropractic (Backbone), and Equine Rehabilitation and Performance Medicine (Chi University). Prior to joining Evergreen Equine, Dr Melissa completed an equine internship at the Equine Clinic at Oakencroft in New York, then spent 7 years working as an equine vet in New Zealand. Dr Melissa is especially passionate about rehabilitation, complementary medicine, and sports medicine. She loves helping her equine patients perform to the best of their abilities. Melissa moved to the PNW with her husband, Robert, and dog, Willow and they are excited to explore the area! When she isn’t at work, Melissa can usually be found either running away with the circus, doing pottery, or out hiking.
