Since 1998, Evergreen Equine has served individual horse owners and farms throughout King and Snohomish counties. We are a full service, mobile practice providing a broad range of veterinary services directly at your barn.

Veterinarians

  Ron Colton

Dr. Ron Colton received a degree in Pharmacy before receiving his doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1987. Both of his degrees were earned at Oregon State University. In 1988, Dr. Colton completed a one-year internship focused on equine medicine and surgery at Texas A&M University, College of Veterinary Medicine . He then practiced at Equine Services Surgical and Referral Center in Louisville, Kentucky for three years, before returning to the Northwest. Dr. Colton and Dr. Howell merged their individual practices to form Evergreen Equine Veterinary Practice in 1998. His specialty interests include lameness, ultrasound, and internal medicine. He lives in Woodinville with his wife, Debbie, their dog, Twice, and their three horses.
  Mike Howell

Dr. Mike Howell graduated from Washington State University with a bachelor's degree in Animal Science. He spent the following two years involved in bovine reproductive management at the Carnation Research Farm in the animal genetics division. He then furthered his education by earning a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine with honors from Washington State University in 1992. Dr. Howell began his veterinary career working as a mixed animal practitioner in the Skagit valley. In 1998, he founded Evergreen Equine Veterinary Practice with Dr. Colton. Dr. Howell's areas of specialty interest include mare and stallion reproductive management and equine dentistry. He has taken many opportunities to train with reproductive specialists. In 2007, he and his family traveled to New Zealand where he worked as an equine reproductive specialist. In their free time Dr. Howell and his wife, Milray, a small animal veterinarian, spend time with their two kids traveling, skiing, and relaxing at home.

Rhonda Wright

Rhonda is serves as Office Manager and is available during regular business hours (8:30am to 5 pm M-F) to review your account and take credit card payments over the phone. She lives in Marysville with her family that includes two beloved cats.
